NapoleonCat Alternatives: 7 Tools Compared (2026)
NapoleonCat's auto-moderation starts on the $119/mo Expert plan. 7 alternatives compared: social suites, AI comment tools and a managed service.
The best NapoleonCat alternative depends on which half of NapoleonCat you actually use. If you use the whole suite (publishing, analytics, reports and the inbox), Agorapulse, Sprout Social and Hootsuite replace it. If you mostly bought it to hide spam and answer comments, a dedicated AI comment tool like Reply200, CommentGuard or Replient does that job, usually for less, and writes the replies too.
If you need human moderators watching a high-risk account, look at Respondology.
Every price and feature below comes from each vendor’s own website, checked on October 11, 2026.
Tools for the job
What NapoleonCat does, and what it costs
NapoleonCat is a social media management suite built around a Social Inbox. Every plan publishes and reports; the inbox starts on Pro; automatic moderation starts on Expert.
Its auto-moderation covers a lot of ground: Facebook and Instagram (organic and ads), TikTok (organic and ads), YouTube video comments, LinkedIn organic posts and Messenger. Google, App Store and Google Play reviews land in the same inbox. Rules can hide, delete, or answer with up to 20 rotating saved replies.
| NapoleonCat plan | Billed yearly | Billed monthly | What it adds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | $79/mo | $89/mo | Publishing, analytics, reports. No inbox |
| Pro | $89/mo | $109/mo | Social Inbox (10K items), manual moderation, AI reply suggestions (beta) |
| Expert | $119/mo | $139/mo | Automatic hiding, deleting and auto-replies, automatic sentiment |
| Enterprise | from $465/mo | n/a | API, SLA, custom terms |
Each price covers 2 users and 5 profile slots; a slider adds more. Excludes VAT.
The trial is 14 days on the Expert plan, no credit card.
Why teams look for a NapoleonCat alternative
Here’s the pattern: the usual reasons to look elsewhere aren’t about moderation quality. They’re about how the moderation is packaged.
- Automation sits on the Expert plan. Pro gives you an inbox with spam and hate-speech detection; hiding it automatically takes Expert. A team that only wanted the auto-hide pays for publishing and reporting it may never open.
- AI replies wait for a human. NapoleonCat’s own page on its AI Assistant: “Nothing goes out without a human saying yes.” Each generated reply uses an AI coin, and unlimited AI use is a paid add-on. That’s a feature if you want approval, and a bottleneck at 500 comments a day.
- You pay by users and profiles, not by comments. Good for a small team with big volume. Expensive for many profiles with modest volume: the Expert plan at 10 profiles is $209/mo billed yearly.
- X and Threads. Its X page describes publishing, and Threads isn’t on its auto-moderation list. Agorapulse, Sprout and Hootsuite all bring Threads and X into the inbox (Agorapulse charges extra for X).
NapoleonCat alternatives at a glance
Agorapulse charges extra for X. Checked on each vendor's site, October 11, 2026.
If you use the whole suite: Agorapulse, Sprout Social, Hootsuite
These three replace NapoleonCat one for one: publishing, analytics, reports and an inbox. The question is how much of the moderation they automate.
Agorapulse
The closest match in shape. Agorapulse’s inbox covers Facebook, Instagram, Threads, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn and Google Business, with X as a paid add-on, and from the Professional plan it pulls in ad comments from Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn. NapoleonCat reaches YouTube ad comments; Agorapulse reaches LinkedIn ones instead, and adds Threads to the inbox.
Moderation is rule-based: keywords, links, emails or the comment type (ad or organic) trigger hide, delete, label, assign or ban. Sentiment can’t trigger a rule, per its own help center, and plans below Custom get one rule per social profile. Replies are written by your team.
Price: $79, $119 or $149 per user a month billed yearly; $99, $149 or $199 monthly. 10 social profiles on each. 30-day trial, no card.
Pick it if: you want the suite with Threads and LinkedIn ad comments, and you’re fine writing replies by hand.
Sprout Social
Sprout Social is the enterprise-shaped option. The Smart Inbox and Facebook and Instagram ad comment moderation start on Standard; you can also reply to and hide eligible TikTok ad comments.
Automated Rules that hide messages (using criteria like sentiment and Sprout’s spam classification) need the Advanced plan. AI Assist reworks the reply you’ve written; it doesn’t send anything itself.
Price: per seat, billed yearly: $199 (Standard), $299 (Professional), $399 (Advanced). Monthly billing is $249, $399 and $499. The $79 Essentials plan has no inbox. 30-day trial, no card.
Pick it if: you have a large team that needs approvals, routing and reporting, and per-seat pricing doesn’t scare you.
Hootsuite
Hootsuite brings comments from Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn Pages, Threads, X, WhatsApp, YouTube, TikTok and Google Business Profile into one inbox, including comments on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn dark posts. Hiding and deleting are manual.
Its automatic actions tag, route, resolve or forward messages; we didn’t find an automatic hide in its help docs. AI smart replies suggest text from the Professional plan.
Price: $99, $199 or $399 per user a month, billed yearly. 14-day trial, no card.
Pick it if: publishing is your main job and comments are a side task someone on the team handles.
If you mostly need the comments handled: Reply200, CommentGuard, Replient
Plenty of teams buy a suite for its inbox and never touch the scheduler. If that’s you, a comment tool covers the same ground and does more of the work.
Reply200
That’s us, so we’ll stick to what our pricing and platform docs say.
Reply200 doesn’t suggest replies; it handles each comment on Facebook Pages, Instagram professional accounts, TikTok and YouTube. Per comment, it replies in your page’s voice, hides it, likes it on Facebook or organic TikTok, or leaves it alone.
Ad comments are covered on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube; TikTok is organic videos only for now. The voice is learned from your page’s past replies and posts, so there’s no prompt or rule set to write first.
NapoleonCat’s AI drafts wait for a yes; Reply200 sends replies on its own, after 30 to 150 seconds under ads, 1 to 10 seconds on lives, or the delay you set for posts. You can edit or delete replies in the dashboard. If you need approval before anything goes out, NapoleonCat fits better.
What you give up: publishing, analytics reports, LinkedIn and review sites. DMs are coming soon.
Price: $29/mo for 3,000 processed comments, $54 for 6,000, $96 for 12,000, or $0.006 per comment on pay-as-you-go Enterprise. No per-seat or per-profile fees; the 7-day trial needs a card.
CommentGuard
CommentGuard is Facebook and Instagram only, posts and ads, and the cheapest per comment we found: $29/mo for 5,000 comments, down to about $0.004 a comment at 25,000. AI filters hide profanity, negativity and topics you choose; AI agents you train reply on autopilot or draft for review; Facebook and Instagram DMs are in the inbox. Unlimited pages and team members, and a 7-day trial with no card.
Pick it if: your comment problem is Meta ads and nothing else. More options in our CommentGuard alternatives guide.
Replient
Replient keeps NapoleonCat’s breadth on comments and reviews without the publishing: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, App Store, Google Play and Google Reviews. It hides on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok (Meta and TikTok ad comments included) and replies automatically or as drafts you approve. DMs come on Pro.
Price: credits, in euros: Lite €39/mo for 1,000, Pro €129 for 4,000, Business €249 for 10,000. A moderated comment costs 0.1 credit; one with an AI reply draft costs 1. The trial is 14 days, no card.
Pick it if: you need app-store and Google reviews in the queue alongside comments.
If you need people watching: Respondology
Respondology adds human moderators to keyword rules and AI, across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube and Threads, with X on Premium. It’s a service contract, not a self-serve tool: $999/mo billed yearly for up to 10,000 comments a year on Basic, Standard from $2,599/mo. Demo first.
Pick it if: a missed comment is a reputational risk, not just a nuisance. BrandBastion is the other name in this tier; it doesn’t publish prices.

When to stay with NapoleonCat
Stay if you use its publishing and reports every week, if your agency needs LinkedIn and review sites next to social comments, or if every reply must be approved before it posts. NapoleonCat does all three in one bill, and its auto-moderation reaches YouTube ad comments, which none of the other suites here list.
Leave when you’re paying Expert prices for the auto-hide alone, or when the bottleneck is people approving AI drafts one at a time.
